I like this book because David finally stands up to his mother and runs away. He goes to foster care and the foster home gets full custody of David. He starts to get into trouble in the foster home because he's confused about who to trust and because the recent abuse of his mother.
I think other people would like this book if they read "A Child Called It" and liked the book. In the second book David gets to go to the foster care and he sees other kids. At first the other kids all hated him so David had to steal from stores just to fit in.
