This book is about a teenage girl trapped inside her own thoughts and keeps a scray secret to herself the whole book. Since she can not tell anyone this secret she stops talking to everyone in her life. The whole school hates her and no one talks to her for busting a summer party, but no one knows why she did it(that is where the mystery comes in). This book made me realize what it would be like to have no friends or anyone to talk to in high school and how hard it is for no one there to listen to you. I would recommend this book to almost anyone, probably a teenager if you like realating to books. It is a excellent book and it won many awards and the writing style is great too. There was never a part I did not want to read. Anderson knows how to speak to her readers.
