This is a great book about an African American girl who is less fortune than others. People talk about her all the time because her mother makes her clothes, and she has low self -esteem. Char, Maleeka, and the twins were smoking in the bathroom and they get caught by a teacher who they don’t like so they want to take revenge. One day they wake up early to go to the school, they light the classroom of Miss Saunders on fire. Maleeka gets caught because she’s seen, so she gets fined; she is a good friend so she doesn’t rat the others out she takes all the blame.

I think that females will like this more because it more girlish than boyish because it has a lot to do with what people think of you and how people treat you. Girls who think less of themselves would also like this book because this will help you through and show you’re that your not suppose to take mess from anybody no matter what. It keeps you interested that whole time and gives some good advice.

I would rate this book a 9 out of 10. I thought this book was good because it keeps your attention for a while, but there were some little parts that throw you off a little. I like books that show you no matter what you’re still going to be you.
