Are you kidding me?? Is Germany at it again?? Nope. In fact, this book has nothing to do with the conflicts between human beings. It actually revolves around the struggle between people and...well...dead people. By this, of course, I mean zombies. You know the living dead or the walking plague. In this book, Max Brooks goes around the world to interview people who have had zombie experiences. No, all of the people he interviewed weren't locked up in a farm house or held up in a shopping mall. They had contact with the infected during their normally, daily lives. The book goes deep into the peoples lives and shows how they were intertwined with the ghouls. Some of these people are celebrities, CSI agents, Chinese townsfolk, and even Black Martket smugglers. I would have to say that in the 10-11 years that i have been able to read, this is the only book that has been able to hold my absolute attention for more than an hour. The book is full of detailed descriptions of zombie behavior, physical abilities, and much more. If you find that you are interested in anything of the horror/movie monster sort, then I would suggest picking up this book. Since paper back books are only available 9 months after a book is released, World War Z is only available as hard cover.
